Favourite Christmas Advert this Year | Blogmas 2017

There has been a lot of talk about the Christmas Adverts, with retailer John Lewis supposedly setting the bar every year. This year, however, I can honestly say that John Lewis was not my favourite Christmas Advert. Despite watching hardly any TV, I'll still go on YouTube to watch all of the Christmas ads I can find.

This year there was a clear winner for me and that Ladies and Gentlemen is *drum roll* ... Marks and Spencer presents Paddington Bear & The Christmas Visitor.

Sure I may be biased due to the fact I'm a massive Paddington Bear fan and have been since I was little. (Pretty sure the Bear inspired my love for wellies and marmalade sandwiches.) This advert also combines elements of one of my favourite childhood Christmas films: Dr.Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas' (2000). Whilst it may not pull on your heartstrings -as much as others have in previous years,- this advert still made me laugh, shed a tear and feel warm inside, and that is what I look for in a Christmas ad.

What's your favourite Christmas Ad this year? Did you understand the John Lewis Advert with Moz the monster? Let me know, comment below or get in touch via the contact page.

Thanks for Reading,
