December Favourites
Hello Pals,
I was going to do this as a what I got for Christmas Post but decided to do that separately and continue the monthly favourites as they would be normally. My December was filled with festive cheer, mince pies, Christmas Jumpers, family, late nights, films and sweets treats. What about yours?
Blogmas
I thoroughly enjoyed doing Blogmas throughout December (up until the 24th). Coming up with the ideas was the hardest part of blogmas, but I had a list of over 30 ideas written down and a few ready to go before I had even started. It got me into the habit of uploading every day and even if I was having a lazy day and really didn't want to pick up my laptop, I did so anyway and made myself write up a post or publish one of the ones I had done in advance. I'm not sure yet whether I will be doing a blogmas in 2018, we'll have to see later on in the year. Your feedback was really fab over Blogmas and I took your comments on board, thanks for your support. (all Blogmas posts are still available to read)
Present Giving
Obviously, I like receiving presents, but more than anything I love giving presents. Christmas is one of those time that you get to share thoughtful gifts with all the family and I love the opportunity to give them something that I know they'll love an appreciate. I'm like the Kid in the John Lewis Advert that counts down to Christmas Day just to give his presents. It's a nice feeling giving someone a gift and giving something back for all of the love and support they have given you.
Family
I love my family, no matter the weather or time of year. December is one of the rare months that we're all together in one place for at least a week. I often thank and talk about my friend's and their support on this blog and my other social media platforms. I talk less so about my family purely for privacy reasons. My family have honestly been the most supportive people in my life and have grown to understand more about mental health to help me along the way. They have an unbelievable amount of love, kindness and patience towards me and I love and respect each and every one of them, my gratitude towards them goes beyond words. I could not and would not be the person I am today without them. It was lovely to spend time with them over the holidays and give a little back to them.Lush Sleepy Body Lotion
It's back in my life and therefore is back in my favourites. I can now Sleep again! I was devastated when I had run out of sleepy body lotion but thought it would be a good opportunity to see if I could sleep without it. The answer is yes I can sleep without it but I do not sleep as well. It takes me a lot longer to get into a sleepy mood, feel tired, or even nod off. I highly recommend this product to anyone that has trouble sleeping, getting to sleep or even staying asleep.
M&S Salted Caramel Snowflake Pretzels
These are my go-to December snack. They are so more-ish that once I open a bag it's really hard to stop eating them! Rather than the usual salt flavour, the salted caramel flavour is more along the lines of sweet and salty popcorn mix. The added festive snowflake shape probably does nothing for the flavour but they do look cute. This is a nice alternative for those who want to step away from sweet treats and chocolate.
What have been your favourites in December? Is there anything you feel you simply couldn't live without in the winter time? Comment below and let us know.
Thanks for reading
