New Years Resolutions

What is a resolution? I always thought it was the answer to a problem. So a New Years Resolution would be how to solve the problems in your life, which is true to some extent. Turns out a resolution is also the firm decision to do or not do something. So here is what I have firmly decided to do in 2018:

🎯  Continue working on my mental health and wellbeing:
Without a doubt, my number one priority in 2018 will be myself. In early 2017 I would have thought that to be selfish of me but not anymore. I need to be able to look after myself and love myself before I can even think of anyone else. It's about putting myself and my needs first instead of putting my life aside to help others and carrying the weight of their worlds on my two tiny shoulders.

🎯 Continue and Complete my 100 Days Without Anxiety Challenge:
This is a no-brainer, I started this challenge in 2017 and I'm going to continue and finish it in 2018. I have absolutely loved conquering my fears and coming up with different challenges and am hoping to do even more in 2018. I will continue to film and blog my challenges so that you can come with me on this journey. Thanks for all your support so far, it's been amazing!!

🎯 Continue Blogging and upload on a regular basis:
I'm super proud of myself for picking my blog back up and everything I have managed to achieve after blogging for a few months in 2017. I'm hoping to do more, get creative and have even better content for us to enjoy.

🎯 Do/Try something new every month:
This follows along/ goes almost hand in hand with looking after my mental health and completing my 100 Days Without Anxiety Challenge. I will push myself out of my comfort zone and attempt new things, be they an activity, or food/beverage. This will hopefully push me to do more and hopefully, help me cope with change a bit better.

🎯 Drink More Water:
This is something we should all do! I'm forever forgetting to drink water throughout the day, and have got into the habit of only drinking around meal times, this is really bad for me and my health, and so it has to change!

🎯 Do yoga Every day:
I got lazy last year and am slightly ashamed to admit that I haven't done yoga in a month. Granted that is possibly due to the fact that my mum's new cat attacks my legs anytime she sees me on a yoga mat, and not just because I'm lazy. Note to self: must not be in close proximity to the cat when practicing Yoga.

🎯 Save Money and keep a budget:
I don't have a lot of it, so it's probably best to save what I do have and stop those impulse purchases at the checkout. (must dethrone myself from the Impulse Buying Queen Title)

🎯 keep in touch with people:
I'm terrible and known for not keeping in touch with people, as much as I should. The main reason for this is whilst I was going through bouts of ill health both mental and physical I cut off a lot of people from my life or isolated myself. It's a very unhealthy thing to do and I have already started getting better at communicating and keeping people in the loop. I have already reconnected with lost of people, but there are many more I haven't yet (mainly because I'm still not 100% confident). Thank you if you have got in touch with me this year, it's meant the world to me. And if you haven't yet but do want to get back in touch please don't hesitate. I am also doing my best to reply a.s.a.p, I no longer live with my phone glued to my side so it may take some time.

🎯 Allow myself to say no:
I found saying no to be extremely difficult in 2017and realised that I was a big fat people pleaser. I would constantly put others before myself, afraid to disappoint or let down. Well, now I'm no longer afraid to say no, I won't crumble under peer pressure, as much as I love those around me if I'm not up for doing something I'll be ready to say no.

🎯 Let go of the things I don't need:
Be it; people, objects or that book I always say I'm going to read yet never actually get around to doing so. I'm hoping to wave goodbye to all the things and stuff that take up so much unnecessary space and time in my life. I like the thought of minimalistic living but love my comforts a little too much to part with them all, so I feel this way is a good compromise. I want to keep the things in my life that I still use and that bring me joy, everything else can and should go.

Right, I think 10 will do, don't you? I have no Idea if I will stick to them all, what do you think? I hope I do, I feel 2018 will be very successful if I do. What are your New Years Resolutions? Do you have any goals, little or small? Any milestones you want to achieve in 2018? Get in touch via the contact page or let me know.

Thanks for reading
XO
