Critics Choice Awards, Best Dressed

Critics' Choice Awards / Laura Harrier, Timothée Chalamet, Kiki Layne

Another Friday, Another Awards Show Best Dressed List. The Critics Choice Awards was the second awards show of the season and our fave celebs, newbies and a few z lists but on their party frocks, bedazzling suits and strut their strut their stuff on a carpet (this one is blue, not red, no idea why? but you can bet it'll affect outfit colour choices). The carpet colour change may explain why the carpeted walkway looked a bit like a bridal fashion show.In keeping with the mantra of spreading positivity and kindness, there will be no "worst-dressed" or negative comments here. People will realise if they need to fire their stylist without me having to tell them (I hope). As before the list comes with my initial reaction comedy and only outfits that made me stop scrolling, gasp or faint (I didn't faint, that's a bit of an exaggeration).

Critics Choice Awards / Laura Harrier

"Wow, that looks incredible" It looks like this was made for her and it may have been, kicking off the bridal vibes on this list is Laura Harrier who is apparently wearing Louis Vuitton (just in case you were interested or fancied buying it yourself). I have to admit I wasn't keen on the shoes but they do go well, the simple diamond necklace adds a touch of elegance, and the bag is very cool (I want it but I'm not sure what would fit in it). (Also anyone else thinking 80's bride?)

"Party time stunning" Angela looks fabulous, top to toe, hair, makeup and outfit all compliment each other and look great. (Anyone else feeling the bridal party vibes here?)

Critics Choice Awards / Constance Wu

"Oooh, so ethereal, she looks like a Disney princess." This dress is on another level, it has a slight ice-skater feel to it but that makes me love it more. The dress and fabric make Constance look like she's floating. Heavenly, goddess style dress, minimal accessories seem to be key this awards season. (Hello rich bride vibes)

"Yay, Chrissy! Can she do no wrong? Well done Monica I Like this look." Monica is Chrissy's stylist who I can only presume styled her for these awards. On its own or on anyone else I don't think I would like this dress but I feel it suits, Chrissy, very well and she looks incredible. (Yes, It's another Bridal Dress!)

" Yes Nicole, You've done it." What I meant by "done it" was to wear an asymmetric dress with structural dimension and still look, classic, classy and elegant. I love this look and this dress.

"Ooh Jameela! This is dark but I love it." Very sultry and sexy look coming from the Queen of life positivity Jameela. It's not a look I'm used to seeing from Jameela but I love it, rock chick vibes and a kick-ass dress. Yes, I would happily wear or recreate this look!

"Well, Hello Kristen" I don't know why this dress makes me think of a honeymoon vacation near a beach, somewhere tropical but it does. Absolutely in love with the bottom half but still can't decide on the mesh top half.

Critics Choice Awards / Timothée Chalamet

"He looks like a painting, it's different, I like it." A round of applause for Timothée Chalamet who has once again proven that a man's red carpet look can be different but just as beautiful as a tux. Those white trainers are a bold choice to pair with the suit and really contrast off the blue carpet, I want to say I'd prefer it with a dark shoe but can't decide on which colour. Any thoughts?

"Is it a cape? Is it the sleeves? I don't know" I'm still not entirely sure whether it's a cape style or not but I assume it's very floaty sleeves. I'm liking the monochromatic look with matching shade of handbag and minimal makeup look.

"Oh, how elegant!" What's up with the watch? I thought it was a bangle at first but upon a closer look, it's a watch. If we excuse the watch the rest of the outfit is seamless, elegant and flattering. I love the look, I like the makeup, bangle and bag, it almost seems regal. She looks gorgeous.

*gasp*" She looks like an angel" (yes those words actually came out of my mouth) This dress is stunning, on Kiki, it looks Incredible. Simple, Elegant, Classy, She looks like she's gliding down the carpet.
