NTA's Best Dressed

NTAs / Stacey Solomon, Rochelle Humes, Lauren Pope
This Friday we're hopping back over the Atlantic for the first British Awards show this year; The National Television Awards. Our favourite TV stars took to the red carpet on Tuesday night, and we cosied down in our PJs on the sofa and watch the night unfold. There are always a few ill-fitted dresses and fashion faux-pas on the NTAs and us Brits love to critique an outfit. I must say I did enjoy the array of looks from the ladies on the red carpet, not many men ventured from the dress code or came in anything noteworthy different. I very much enjoy the minimalist take on looks, the ladies let their outfits do the talking this year opting for fresh-faced looks and little to no accessories. This list is a mix of some of the best looks we could find.

The National Television Awards

NTAs / Emma Willis
Emma Willis brought a strong look to the carpet. This dress gives her a beautifully defined silhouette, the shoulder pads and sleeveless arm drapes give a bold and eye-catching finish. It almost makes me Disney villain, (think of a mash-up between Maleficent and Evil Queen from Snow White) or gracious warrior heroine. I was so distracted by the dress I almost missed Emma's bleached blonde locks, this looks really brings out Emma's eyes, there's no need for strong makeup or accessorising here.

NTAs / Lauren Pope
Another Disney Villain? Lauren's dress has a dark fairytale feel. The ethereal, whimsical pattern mixed with the dark layering and shimmer mad her look as though she had just stepped out of a storybook. I'm in love with this look, I'm even enjoying the cutout feature which isn't always something that works well on the red carpet.

NTAs / Emily Atack
Emily Atack served up a strong Jolie style leg action. The monochromatic look is simple but strong, the matching shade of accessories make the look feel more luxe. The cut and shape of the dress suit Emily's body shape, I love the neckline, the leg slit and silhouette. The circular bag with the circular handle and shoes tie in well with the outfit, and the red lip gives the whole look a touch of drama.

NTAs / Scarlett Moffatt
Black seemed to be a popular colour of choice on the NTA carpet. Another strong bold black look from Scarlett Moffatt. I really enjoy the shape and silhouette of this dress and think the embroidered detail looks fabulous. I must admit not a big fan on the fluffy shoulders and think a black bag, or indeed no bag would look better, but Scarlett looked gorgeous and felt fab and that's all that really matters.
NTAs / Rochelle Humes
Insert a line of heart eye emoji's here, please. This may be my favourite look of the night. The look is so simple yet so strong and elegant at the same time. The one shoulder cross strap and floaty cape thing (at the back) adds a little depth and dimension to the dress. The silhouette and cut suit Rochelle really well, she looked stunning, gorgeous and beautiful. Once again this dress needs no accessories or makeup.

NTAs / Stacey Solomon
I almost didn't recognise Stacey Solomon in this look, her darker locks and choice of outfit are not what I'm used to seeing. Change can be a good thing, as is the case here, I'm loving the suit, the masculine tailoring mixed in with the feminity of the shirt fit well together. I do love a sparkly shoe, and I love that they match the sparkles on her ears. The red lip is a perfect final touch to the outfit and overall look.

NTAs / Fleur East
This is a little different, I also have no idea how the top half of the dress is attached to the back half or if it's even attached at all and that is what made me double take when I saw this dress. I'm in love with the top half more than the bottom, the bottom half gives a nice silhouette but the top half is so different, eye-catching and potentially dangerous. I like this look, I think the hair and makeup could have been bigger but I also admire the understated minimal theme that seems to have hit the awards carpets this year.

NTAs / Laura Whitmore
Another suit another smile from me. I'm not sure why I'm totally in love with the power-dressing trend but I have a weakness for women in suits. I like the golden shimmer of the suit and feel the black collar and button allow easy accessorising. The star-shaped black and gold bag (which I now want in my life) and black strap heels are all that's needed to accessorise here. The orange tone of the red lip also compliments the rest of the look well.

NTAs / Holly Willoughby
Holly Willoughby looked Pretty in Pink. Can she do no wrong? Holly looked beautiful in this Iris Serban polka dot dress, the shape and style compliment her figure. The frills and floating fabric, mixed with the polka dots and pink colour give the dress a sweet and slightly vintage summer feel. Holly kept the look fresh, with soft pink lips, minimal makeup, and her tied up leaving a wisp of long fringe.

NTAs / Loraine Kelly
Loraine Kelly looked fabulous in this velvet black dress. The over the shoulder sweetheart neckline and thigh slit compliment Loraine's figure. The shoes add a bit of fun and sparkle to the outfit which compliments her choice of bag and earrings. I'm really enjoying the fresh-faced look and minimal accessories.

NTAs / Katie Piper
This mystical dress is giving serious princess fairytale vibes. Katie looked gorgeous in this ethereal and whimsical dress. I'm blown away by the detailing and embroidery on the dress, I think the colour and style really compliment Katie. Again this dress needs no accessories or dramatic makeup, although I quite enjoy the fringe and bun which give a ballet feel to the look. Gorgeous.

NTAs / Mollie King
I quite enjoy this look from Mollie King. I'm not usually the biggest fan of satin or silk dresses as they have a nightgown feel to them but I like this. I'm not sure If it's the shape or the colour but I'd happily go out and buy a similar version tomorrow.

NTAs / Megan McKenna
I feel like I shouldn't like this dress but I do, I even like the bag too. Megan served up the bridal vibes at the NTAs this year.

NTAs / Anne Hegerty
This Dress looks fabulous on Anne, it's a far cry from the suits on the chase or jungle attire she donned last summer. I think the pair of metallic shoes and bangle work well together, the makeup and necklace aren't to my taste, but overall I think she looked great.

NTAs / Tess Daly, Claudia Winkleman
This duo looks gorgeous, strictly presenters Tess and Claudia brought glam and disco vibes to the NTAs' red carpet. Tess opted for a white monochrome look which looks crisp, classic and chic. Claudia went for a loosely fitted cream dress with tassels and silver discs and paired it with some nude heels to keep the look tonal. Again both going for very fresh-faced looks minimal jewellery. Although I do have to admit I wasn't keen on Claudia's clutch choice.

That's it, folks, did your favourite celebrity or outfit make the list? Or is there an outfit on here you think is a faux pas?

Thanks for reading
