100th Blog Post

My Journey

Can you believe I have posted 100 Blog Posts? No? Well, me neither, I started blogging in 2013, 5 years ago, I did it on a whim, I loved reading other people's blog, had lots of opinions myself and though, you know what? I could do this too, and so I just started. I had no vision or direction for my blog I was happy to just plod along. Those of you who have known me for 5 years will know that the blogging didn't happen very often, never followed a pattern and I got so overwhelmed with illness, working and Education, blogging was never at the forefront and never took priority. I wish I had taken the time to put more effort into blogging in the beginning. This being said everything happens for a reason, and I'm pleased I had a platform to come onto to help me express myself and give me a hobby, and focus on something when my mental health was not at it's best. Thanks to everyone for your support.

My First Blog Post

'Little Sejour in Paris', I had just come back from visiting a friend in Paris and decided to embark on my blogging Journey by telling the world a little bit about my time there. I remember deciding I didn't want to type it out like a diary but rather break it up into smaller sections like food, sightseeing and other random bits and bobs. There are so many sentences that don't make sense spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. My posts and vocabulary have come along way since.  I wrote this in 2013 promising myself I'd return to Paris, it's now 2018 and I still haven't been back, I need to go back to Paris.

What has Blogging taught me?
One of the things people say to me is "Oh, are you going to write about this?", blogging has such a stigma attached to it, people either think you don't work, or they think you tell the world your whole life. That's so not the case, bloggers are such hard working dedicated people, who really care about their sites and content. I have met a couple of bloggers who literally blog their whole life and create drama in their life just to blog about it but the most of us bloggers are not like that at all! It's made me realise who my friends are, aka the people who don't ask me if I'm going to write about them. It's also made me realise to think about others more, and also protect my privacy and my life, my social media presence and blogging style has definitely changed in that sense.
I can create something amazing and powerful if I put my mind to it, apparently, I'm a good writer, and have been told I am funny, or at least I right in a humorous way..?
Blogging has also taught me how to find beauty in the smallest of things, moments or gestures.
It's through blogging I discovered that animal testing still exists, it's absurd when there are so many alternatives available. It's how and why I made a lifestyle change to switch to cruelty-free make-up and wish to continue making my life as Cruelty-Free as possible.
Blogging has also given me a confidence that I have needed it's given me a reason to get up in the morning on the bad days and It's made me make myself a better person and to make my life better, The 100 Days Without Anxiety Challenge is just one of those examples.
I feel as though blogging has given me a voice and shown me not to waste it. So while I may not be the funniest, the best photographer, the most idyllic Pinterest or Insta worthy blogger, I want to be a blogger that makes a bit of a difference in the world, makes people's days brighter and creates a more understanding and informed contribution.

What's Next?
The aim of the blog is the same as when I started; a place for me to go and share my life stories, adventures, tips and lessons learned. I really want to continue blogging on a regular basis, sharing more stories and challenge myself on a regular basis. I want to get better at everything to do with blogging, coming up with ideas, the way I write, spelling and grammar, photography, flat-lays, and maybe also changing the layout of the blog. I'm excited to continue, I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback too, I really appreciate whenever you lovely people give me feedback because it helps me improve. I'm also looking forward to working with different people and collaborating on some projects this year too!

Hope You enjoyed the Blog Post.
Thanks for all the love and support.
